As you probably gathered from my previous posts, I have had some thoughts and normal issues that come with being in a new place, etc.
Today though, was a really nice visit to one of the other care centers for the organization we're helping. There we got to help with a vacation Bible school event, visit a family and share the gospel with them; and probably the most special moment for me was getting to share the gospel with a little girl.
I don't say that to brag or anything like that. It's only by God's strength and grace that I was able to do that, or for any of us to do anything that we've done. I really just wanted to share a little of what we did today.
The VBS was a short but full part of the day. Some games, a song, fed the children, did some crafts, and there was a Bible lesson for them. For kids in a place like we were in, it was a blessing to be a part of something like that.
But of course the highlight for me was sharing with the family and the one child about Christ.
To bring it to a place of application though, well, I'd like to remind you of Peter and Jesus walking on the water. Definitely feel like Peter sometimes, easily losing sight of what matters, resulting in me sinking.
But I'm thankful for Jesus reaching in to pull me up.
Images and more will be forthcoming, but for now, it's time for sleep!
