Thank You God, for Voddie Baucham

It came as quite a shock yesterday, when I heard that one of my favorite preachers had passed away suddenly.
I didn't know him, though I got to meet him briefly at a conference.
But he is a man who's heart you could see when he preached and when he spoke. I am certainly thankful for his ministry, and for the impact it has had not only on me but on countless others. He will be missed.
And yet, we grieve not as the world does, for we know that Jesus died to save sinners, and to bring them not only into relationship with Him here in the present, but for eternity. And Voddie is experiencing that joy even now I full well believe.
I could probably say many things on this, but I just want to offer a few thoughts.
First, let's remember to pray for his loved ones. Those that are saved, that they experience the peace of God in this time. For those that are not, that they see the love and grace of God, and draw unto Him for salvation.
Secondly, that we continue what Voddie was about. He preached the word boldly, unapologetically, he called young men to Biblical manhood, and he encouraged the church. Let us continue in those things, by God's grace.
Lastly, I want to share just two of his many sermons. Both of these have touched me, and I hope will encourage you as well.
The first one, was one I heard back in 2020, when a lot of racial issues were coming up in the church. Understanding the Biblical response is so important when dealing with these issues.
And the second I had the privilege of hearing in person. I won't soon forget it.
I hope these will encourage you, and may we look to the promises of God in Christ, and like Voddie, and Paul before him, say boldly:
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16
Thank you God, for Voddie Baucham.
