Monday Share: Why Should We Just Accept AI?

Any Marvel fan remembers Thanos' famous line: "I am inevitable."
The nihilistic villain felt that his idea to solve the problems of evil in the universe were justified, though his idea was ultimately truly evil. In other words, he thought had had the answer to many of life's problems. What he offered in reality was harmful and unjustified.
What does that have to do with A.I.? That it is, in my honest opinion, overstating its ability to help humanity, while hiding an inevitable plethora of problems.
Yet we take it as if it is inevitable. It's coming whether we like it or not, problems and all.
But do we have to just sit there, blind, unwilling to question? Of course not. As Christians I would argue especially not. We should should be striving for what is truly good for society.
This Monday's post share is from O. Alan Noble. In it he deals with a more Christian approach to the "inevitable" onslaught of A.I.
Not all A.I. is harmful, but much of it is. As of yet, we are not fully aware of just how harmful this technology could be. I found his insights to be useful, so I wanted to share them with you.
I hope you'll find them to be equally helpful.
