100

I am really thankful that God has brought me to this milestone. Posting 100 blogs may not sound like much, but I am truly thankful for it.

I'll be honest, it is not always easy to come up with something to say. Sometimes it feels like going through the motions, or that I have nothing worth saying. Is this even being read by anyone?

While I absolutely want people to read (and benefit!) from these posts, ultimately it must be for something bigger. I hope that it is, even on the days when it's on auto-pilot.

I know that this site is in a transitionary phase, and for those who have continued to follow regardless, thank you. Photography is great, and will remain a vital part of what's happening here, but again, it must be something bigger for me. I hope that has been conveyed these past 100 days of writing.

So what has stood out to me the most over the last 100 days? Let me share just a few posts (you can read my top 5 from the first 50 here).

While I could share several, I'm going to pick just a small selection of posts that I enjoyed writing, or thought were potentially more beneficial.

If you've been following me for a bit you know I had a whirlwind tour at the end of September into October. Part of that was time spent in Montana with my good friend, Dean, and his family. We got to go out and shoot a bit, and though it had its challenges (oh my it did), it had some enjoyable moments. This was one of those highlights.

Using the time change as a springboard, I discuss the fact that trials and disruptions often come into our lives, and yet they have a purpose; they are a sanctifying thing. Still challenging to be sure. I hope this post is a helpful one.

I distinctly remember the thought I had that led to this post. Maybe it's allegorical but I still think it's an interesting way to look at the fall season.

I really enjoyed doing themes for most the weeks of November. For the week of Thanksgiving I spent the days talking about things to be thankful for. It should go without saying that we ought to be thankful for God Himself, yet it can oftentimes get lost in the midst of everything else; whether it's our problems or that we can be very thankful for the temporal and more 'visible' things than we are for the more spiritual side of life. Hopefully this post is a good starting guide to how Scripture can help us focus on being thankful for God Himself.

Leading up to Christmas, it was a nice break to do yet another theme. This time it was to look at different stories around the birth of Christ. One of my favorites was on Joseph. He's an interesting character in Scripture that I believe we can learn quite a bit from.

So there we have it, five posts that I hope you'll find enjoyable. Thank you for the support, and more than that, any prayers; prayers that I ask you would continue in as God leads this.
